Overview

Bates Architect’s custom residential design studio is continuing to grow. We currently have several large new homes and additions under construction as well as several in the schematic design phase. Timber Ridge Estates is a group of homes located off Gravel Hill Road in Woodsboro, Maryland. These homes are currently available for customization and purchase if you are ready to make the move to a beautiful, wooded lot located just 20 minutes from historic downtown Frederick! These designs were created with a similar concept in mind, blending a contemporary form with elements from the landscape while embodying green design concepts and smart home technology throughout the homes. Some of the unique features include private 180-degree views through the woods down into the Woodsboro Valley, onsite photovoltaic panels which provide the required energy to run the high efficiency home systems, and a cutting-edge cross-laminated timber floor structure providing thin floor plates, beautiful exposed wood ceilings, all while embodying carbon for the next hundred years.
