Takoma Park Silver Spring Coop Ribbon Cutting

The Takoma Park Silver Spring Coop reopened this Friday after a 4 month long renovation. The store was in need of improvements ranging from aesthetic to energy efficiency upgrades. The project was completed in 15 months with the help of Kalmia Construction setting and maintaining the budget as well as an aggressive schedule to compete the project before the holiday season. BA, along with it’s consultants CJL Engineering and SK&A Engineers, worked with TPSS’s consultants and vendors to create an efficient store layout and integrated newer more efficient refrigeration equipment. Improvements shell building and interiors had to be reviewed by the County Planning Office, The Historical Preservation Commission, the City of Takoma Park as well as the DPS and Fire Marshals Office.
